The traditional health care system doesn’t work for athletes. We are revolutionizing the way you get back to a pain free, active life and sport.

Our Athletes Have Similar Stories

  • “Failed” prior physical therapy because their provider either didn’t have time to treat them individually or didn’t have sports expertise

  • Have dealt with chronic pain for years

  • Told “you’ll never run or do ______ again”

  • Had orthopedic surgeries and are still feeling like they aren’t close to where they were pre-surgery

I created Positive Sports PT…

…For You.

I knew something wasn’t right when I couldn’t get up from the ice without excruciating knee pain. I don't know if you’ve ever experienced the feeling of your brain trying to tell your body to move and there being no response, but it's a weird, weird sensation.

Pretty soon after that I was on an operating table. It was during this time where I wondered – I’m 14 years old. Is this the end of my hockey career? Will I ever  be able to walk normally again? One complex knee surgery, a pair of crutches and a lot of doubt after, I truly had no clue what would come next.

I spent months in physical therapy. PT not only helped heal my knee– it helped me regain my sense of self. My sense of purpose. My identity. I realized after the entire process that becoming a physical therapist was my calling. My mission is to give to others what PT gave to me – another chance to do what I loved. From the time I was 14 years old, becoming a sports physical therapist became my sole focus.

I am thankful every day with how my college years went. At Quinnipiac University, I was able to become both a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I had clinical internships that took me across the country – from Stanford University and the University of Wyoming’s football programs to the University of Michigan’s athletic program and countless high school and sports medicine clinics. I was afforded the very top tier of what a sports medicine education can and should look like.

I started my career in a sports medicine clinic and was eventually named as the Team Physical Therapist to Long Island University’s 29 Division 1 teams – being one of the youngest to fill that role across all D1 programs in the country. Eventually, I realized that something was missing. I wanted to see athletes individually for an entire hour, I wanted to be able to personally work with them throughout their entire rehab process and I was tired of insurance companies cutting off athletes before they were ready to return.

I created Positive Sports Physical Therapy to bring the future of sports medicine to New York’s athletes and active individuals. I’m finally able to fulfill my promise of going to see my athletes play. I’m finally able to throw with my athletes throughout their entire throwing program. In short, PSPT is the realization of 14 year old me’s dream.
